Privacy notice
This notice explains the limited information Notechemy collects while preparing its first version.
What we collect
When you visit or join the waitlist, we collect your email address, basic referral and campaign parameters, a Reddit click identifier when present, the landing-page version and source URL, an anonymous browser session identifier, IP address, and browser User-Agent. If you choose to answer the optional survey, we also collect those answers, including where you would use Notechemy and whether you might import highlights into an early Beta.
We do not currently collect your Kindle or Readwise highlights, passwords, payment details, precise location, mouse movements or keystrokes through this waitlist. An answer about import willingness does not upload, authorize, or connect any data.
Why we collect it
We use this information to maintain the founding waitlist, send waitlist updates and invitations for the first version, understand whether the product idea is useful, compare campaign and page performance, and decide which people and usage platforms are the best fit for early access. We do not use your waitlist email for unrelated marketing.
Analytics, advertising attribution and security
We use Cloudflare to host the site, store waitlist data in Cloudflare D1, and measure broad traffic and page performance with Cloudflare Web Analytics. Our own conversion events are limited to actions such as page view, CTA click, form start, successful submission and optional survey completion.
When Reddit conversion tracking is enabled, the Reddit Pixel records a page visit and a successful new waitlist Lead. The server also uses Reddit Conversions API (CAPI) to send Reddit the Lead event, Reddit click ID when available, source URL, IP address, User-Agent, and cryptographically hashed email and internal identifier. Browser and server events share a conversion ID so Reddit can remove duplicates. We do not send survey answers to Reddit. The Reddit Pixel may use cookies or similar identifiers for attribution. Browser Pixel tracking is disabled on local, preview, automated-test and explicit test visits, and when Global Privacy Control is enabled.
We do not use session replay, heatmaps, or third-party product analytics in this version.
Sharing and public visibility
Waitlist information is not published. We do not sell personal information. Cloudflare processes information as the infrastructure provider required to operate and secure this service. Reddit processes the limited advertising-attribution data described above when conversion tracking is enabled.
Retention and deletion
We keep waitlist and validation information only as long as it is useful for the Notechemy experiment and its founding invitations. You can ask us to delete your waitlist record and associated survey response, or ask us to stop sending updates.
Your choices
The optional survey can be skipped. You may ask us to stop waitlist updates and invitations at any time. Joining the waitlist does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing and does not require payment or uploading highlights.
Before a future Beta collects or connects highlights, we will provide a separate product privacy notice and explain the applicable data-handling rules.
